Sofa Construction

The Noa Flow Sofa is one of our favourite modular sofas that we have tested, and we appreciate the high-quality materials that contribute to its long-term durability.

  • Sofa Fabric: Made of 100% soft polyester that doesn’t pill, fade or become worn over time, this fabric holds up great day to day, even with pets and children.
  • Cushions: The back and seat cushions are fully removable from the base of the sofa and are made from high-density foam surrounded by a softer polyester filling. This combination provides some softness while still being supportive and structured.
  • Frame: The frame of the Noa Flow sofa is made from kiln-fired pine wood, which is durable and designed to last. In addition to the wood frame, the interior chrome-plated iron helps the sofa maintain its shape over time.

Sofa Performance Test Results

We look at the essential elements of a sofa when testing them out, which includes how soft or firm the cushions and frame are, how easy it is to clean the cover and how expansive and adaptable the seating is.

Firmness (7.5/10)

We look at the essential elements of a sofa when testing them out, which includes how soft or firm the cushions and frame are, how easy it is to clean the cover and how expansive and adaptable the seating is.

The Noa Flow’s cushions are about a 7.5 on our firmness scale.

Ranking higher than average, the Noa Flow Sofa has a supportive and more structured design. The cushions are made from thick, high-density foam surrounded by a small layer of polyester filling. When pushing and sitting on the cushions, there was only a slight amount of give, and we did not experience any sinking into the seats.

Ease of Care (7/10)

Our team looks at how easy it is to overall clean the sofa, as well as the individual cushion covers. Sofas that have removable covers that can be machine washed will rank higher than a sofa that can only be spot-cleaned.

The sofa fabric on the frame and cushions is made from 100% polyester. This fabric is soft and durable and holds up great over time. While the cushion covers can be removed, they are not machine washable, which can be a deterrent for some. For the occasional spill, spot cleaning is recommended.

Seating Configurations (9.5/10)

With two ready-to-go sofa layouts that seat up to 4 and the ability to custom-make any layout for large groups and families, the Noa Flow scored high in seating configuration. Individual seats, corners and ottomans can be purchased and arranged in unique, small and extra-large layouts.

We rank a sofa’s seating configuration based on factors like the number of seats, how many layouts you can select from and if the sofa can be changed by adding and removing seats.

Should You Buy a Noa Flow Sofa?

The Noa Flow sofa is best suited for Canadians with slightly higher budgets and looking for a sofa with a high level of customization. We thought the fabric of the sofa was soft and held up over time without fading or pilling. We enjoyed the feel of the cushions, which gave a great balance between soft and firm. The best feature of this sofa though was the ability to choose whatever layout and seating we wanted. For those wanting either a small sectional for three or a large family room sofa for ten, the Noa Flow is a great pick.
