Sofa Construction
No matter what seating option you choose, the Cozey Ciello Sofa is constructed from high-quality fabrics, different foam layers and a solid wood base.
- Cover: The Cozey Ciello has three different fabrics you can choose from, each with multiple colour options. We recommend the performance fabric for those who have children, pets or large families due to its superior durability. The other fabric options include plush chenille, which isn’t well-suited to pet hair, and a unique corduroy. Regardless of which one you choose, each cushion cover is removable and fully washable.
- Back Cushions: The back cushions are made from a soft foam blend that is surrounded by your cover of choice. These cushions are soft and plush and won’t offer any lumbar support or firm structure.
- Bottom Cushions: The core of the bottom cushions is thick, high-density foam, providing some inner support. Layering the top and underside of this firmer support foam is a layer of fluffy, soft, blended foam, which allows you to sink into the sofa.
- Base: The Ciello base is made from durable pine wood wrapped in high-density foam and a cover. The springs within the base give the sofa some springiness and bounce. The base cover is not removable or washable.

Those wanting a soft and cozy sofa will be most comfortable with a ranking under 7, while those seeking a firm, more structured sofa will like a higher ranking.
The Cozey Ciello performed low to average on the firmness scale due to its incredibly soft and sinking cushions. While we didn’t feel trapped in the sofa, it was one of the more plush and fluffy couches that we tried. Those needing more back support will want to look for a different sofa made from firmer materials.
Ease of Care (8.8/10)
We score a sofa’s ease of care based on how washable the covers are and how durable the fabric overall is. Pet owners and those with children will want to choose a sofa with a ranking of at least 7 or 8 out of 10, whereas sofas that don’t see a lot of wear or use can have a ranking much lower.
We thought this sofa was very easy to care for and scored it high accordingly. We loved that the covers of the back and bottom cushions could be easily zipped off and machine-washed. In both the performance fabric and chenille, we did not have any issues with the fabric becoming worn or pilled when cleaning. We wish the base fabric could be removed for cleaning, as it was tough to get stains out of the armrests and frame.

Setting up the Cozey Ciello Sofa collection was incredibly easy and went quicker than we expected. Each piece came shipped in its own box and included instructions for tool-free assembly, so you won’t need to dig into your personal toolbox.
Each seat took about 5 minutes to connect to another piece. We recommend having two people assemble the Ciello due to the bulkiness of holding the two pieces together when bolting. Once the Ciello was assembled, it felt incredibly sturdy. In addition to assembling the frame, you will need to place the covers on the cushions as well, which can take a few minutes. For a traditional 3-seater sofa it took two of our team members about 45 minutes from start to finish.
