The comfort layer alone uses four layers of special foams, with unique pocket coils and a stabilization layer to round out the construction. • The Cover: The cover of the Emma Hybrid Premium Plus is a soft, cool UltraDry material. This material is extremely breathable, making it cool to the touch. It’s likely to keep even some of the warmest sleepers cool throughout the night. The cover can also be removed and is easy to wash.
• The 1st Layer: The first layer of this Emma mattress is 0.75” of graphite-infused memory foam. This Thermosync foam helps keep your temperature neutral throughout the night, eliminating higher temperatures on the surface of the mattress.

You may feel as though you are going to slide off the mattress, which isn’t comfortable if you like to sit on the edge of the bed in the morning. We look for mattresses with reinforced edges and edge-to-edge support to perform better in this area. A rating of at least a 7 out of 10 is important for those who sit or sleep near the edge. 

The Emma Hybrid Premium Plus has a great edge support system. One of the ergonomic zones in the coil layer is dedicated to firmer coils around the edges of the mattress, so they won’t sag when you sit there. Our testers gave this mattress higher scores than average, and we loved the way the edges wouldn’t sink very far at all, even when we sat there for several minutes at a time.
